Everything you Think You know about admissions is a Lie
“I Heard…”
The most dangerous phrase in College Admissions is “I heard…”
There is a lot of misinformation and myths in the college admissions space. Even I have encountered lies and mistakenly believed them.
It was only when I started figuring out what is true and what is false that I truly started experiencing success as a counselor and on behalf of my student (see here)
And the truth came from an UNEXPECTED place- a place I was told NEVER TO TRUST- the colleges/universities themselves. I know, I know, you have doubts. I did too. But I discovered when I listened to the advice admissions and enrollment officers and stopped listening to the internet gurus or chat boards, the process of college admissions became less stressful and we were able to be more efficient and have more success.
Now I am sharing what I learned and there is NO catch. Everything You Think You About Admissions is a Lie is a series where we will explore misinformation and misconceptions in college admissions and where we will bring admissions/enrollment officers on to discuss the truth.
I am not going to put you on an email list and at the end of a sequence, there will be a product/service you have to buy in order to learn the truth.
I am just going to tell you the truth with AS FEW BARRIERS AS POSSIBLE- expect free webinars, events, and emails. I am going to teach you the methods use I get the information I need for my college-bound students
